Elgar Political Theory is a series designed to cultivate and promote high quality works of scholarship in political theory. Its aim is to bring normative and empirical strands into conversation with each other. Books in the series address normative issues in political science by drawing on empirical work in the social sciences more broadly. They also bring the concerns of contemporary social science to bear upon canonical thinkers in the history of political thought.
