PREST/CRIC Studies in Science, Technology and Innovation series

This new series is a forum for the outstanding research from Manchester's two leading social science research institutes - PREST (Policy Research in Engineering, Science and Technology) and CRIC (the ESRC Centre for Research on Innovation and Competition).

The books in this series will reflect their concern with the economic, social and managerial implications of science and innovation. Emphasis will be given to science and technology policy and the role the innovation plays in competitiveness, particularly in the new knowledge-intensive global economy.

This interdisciplinary series will include some of the best theoretical and empirical work in the field, and will be invaluable to scholars, students and policymakers.
