Open Access
Edward Elgar Publishing launched its dedicated digital platform, Elgaronline, in 2013 and shortly thereafter we commenced our Open Access publishing programme. Under an Open Access publishing model, a book, book chapter or journal article can be made freely available to read and download immediately upon publication.
Our Open Access programme is built upon the same strong principles laid down by our Founder, Edward Elgar, of offering authors an unrivalled level of author service and care.
We publish Open Access content right across our list, encompassing Law, Business and the Social Sciences, and including complete books (authored and edited monographs), individual book chapters and journal articles.
The continued evolution towards scholarly content increasingly being published Open Access is in line with our stated company mission, which is to enrich and support our academic and professional communities through creative commissioning and effective dissemination of high calibre content for a global audience, and by delivering a dynamic, responsive and efficient publishing service to authors, readers and customers.
The information contained in this section of the website all refers to immediate ‘Gold’ Open Access. For our ‘Green’ Self-Archiving policy, please refer to Reuse of your work.
